Guidance Administrative Assistant

Purpose of position The Guidance Administrative Assistant will be responsible to provide assistance and project management to the Director of Guidance and the academic office team while assisting K-12 parents and students/special emphasis 7-12th grade parents and students.
Reports to Director of Guidance – Sue McIntyre
Works with Director of Guidance and academic office team
Experience Prefer degree in Guidance and Counseling, Speech, or Special Needs and experience homeschooling.
Salary Up to 30 hours per week including time working from home and on site. Minimal office hours include Monday through Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm. Wage will be determined by experience and job history.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands and believes deeply in CCS mission, model, culture, and values
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Confident in speaking to large or small groups
  • Gifted listener, able to encourage, empower, equip and direct parents especially through the progression of Middle School, High School, and College.
  • Able to encourage, advise, and direct elementary school parents when students face academic or developmental challenges
  • Understands statistical testing results with a readiness to advise parents
  • Eye for details and deadlines, demonstrating willingness to learn requirements for State of Florida Graduation, Accreditation, Bright Futures, Dual Enrollment, NCAA, College Board, ACT, etc.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility
  • Contributes ideas for improvements
  • Possesses computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Google Docs, Filemaker Database)
  • Engages easily with technology, willing to develop our online components
  • Presents genuinely friendly and inviting personal skills
  • Collaborative team player
